Pants You Can Sit In All Day

The test for a good pair of pants is a long flight, a full workday, or a two-hour dinner. Ours are cut with real stretch and built from Merino, organic cotton and BioFlex™ blends — so they hold their shape without holding you in.

The Range

  • Women’s ReFlex Straight Leg Pants — five-pocket, with a slight stretch. The closest thing here to a proper trouser.
  • Men’s ReFlex Slim-Fit Pants — tapered without being tight.
  • Women’s CoolBlend™ Trousers — a wide leg sitting low on the waist, with an elastic waistband and drawstring.
  • Unisex CoolBlend™ Straight Leg Pants — toasty and gentle on skin, for the coldest end of the year.
  • BioFlex™ Wide Leg Pants — mid-rise with a curved yoke. Studio to street.
  • Merino-Blend Unisex Lounge Pants — for home, in a fibre that regulates rather than just insulating.

Why Stretch Trousers Usually Look Wrong

Most trousers that add stretch do it by adding elastane to a thin fabric, which is why they end up looking like leggings with pockets: the fabric has no body, so it clings and shows every line. Getting stretch into a trouser that still reads as tailored means keeping enough fabric weight to hold a crease and hang from the hip rather than the leg. That’s the harder engineering problem, and it’s the difference between a comfortable trouser and a comfortable-looking one.

The Travel Case

A trouser with real stretch and recovery is worth more on a plane than almost anything else in a bag: it doesn’t bind when you sit for twelve hours, and it doesn’t come out of a suitcase needing an iron. If you only upgrade one thing before a long trip, this is a better candidate than another shirt.
